    Description

This is an easy one.  Never had an error note before?  I can't imagine how this got out of a collection.  Incredible, 17+ year old note in near perfect condition. WOW!
The error is in the INKING.  Just too much or 'overinking' as it is called.  Serial # is a neato one, and an even ending 4 digits is always welcome in a collection.  Can't believe they didn't catch this one.
Best error notes are those where the error attracts attention, and this one sure does, doesn't it?  The overinking bled through the sitting man and that's a no no.
If you look in the 5th picture, it's a closeup of the bleed through error from the back, done with a jewelers loop and holding the camera close. The next two pictures, show the man on the reverse which is darker than the rest of the folks on the reverse.  Hold a fairly good or new note close to this one, and you can see how much darker this one is.
On the 7th picture, you can see the word 'TWO' shadowed through from too much ink also, or it could be from the note below it and just imprinted on this one.   Either way, the ink doesn't belong there, error #2.
The 9th picture shows ink blobs in the interior margin.  Again, those don't belong there.  #3
So actually, you have a nice, crisp, "hot off the press" note, and it's also getting some years on it, so condition, age and rarity are the three things which make a good collectors item.  Condition is usually most important, but errors can override condition sometimes.
I do know, this was in a collection for a long time and protected in a proper plastic envelope. (not pvc) and the note is really in bristol condition (as we say on boats), perfect shape.  Hear that, PERFECT!  Edges and corners are perfect and the note feels crisp and dry, but as you can see, cutting kinda off, so you have a cut error also.  Did you count them up?
Back picture shows backplate number 5  Always nice to have a low backplate #, & this one is single digit, even better.
Any big error like this is a keeper.
Hope you enjoyed looking at it, and if you want it, good luck in the bidding.
No returns on currency.  This is an open plastic slipcover [not pvc] and is in as near perfect as it could get.

NOTE:  I cannot find similar items on eBay, nor Heritage Auctions.  I have a note into Heritage for an evaluation. I may be changing the price higher after speaking to Heritage.  So I'll have to use the serial number for a price: 6,25.00 Okay?  NO?  Oh, why not...?  Oh, okay, how about we move the decimal a little.  .42.  Now a lot of these CUT SHEET errors are going for literally hundreds of dollars. so..... this one is ONLY 499.00
Thanks for looking, hope you enjoyed.  If you want it, good luck in the bidding and offers aren't felonys.  I will do one of three things with an offer, 1) accept, 2) say NO, or 3) make you a counter offer. How can you lose.
Now this  is really a great error note. Highly visible and usually caught easily by the print guy or gal.  So, grab this rarity ASAP.
Buy the way, making an offer is not a felony. I can say 3 things, 1) yes, 2) NO and 3) make you a counter offer.  C'mon, let's go for it.  If you never had an error note, this is a great start.  Just remember, the when the condition goes up so does the price, and small increments can raise the prices dramatically.
So, bid like you are voting in NY, early, often and if you wanna win, bid last.
    Thanks again.
