WWII Horster 44asw German Matching #s M84 K98 Mauser Bayonet w/Scabbard & Frog

Description

WWII German Mauser M1884/98 Bayonet with Scabbard and Frog. Ricasso is marked "8108" over "b" on one side and on the other side is "44asw" which stands for Eu.F. Horster. The grips are solid with some scratches and a few nicks. The blade bluing has a slightly reddish tint to it, it has been sharpened and the tip is very sharp. The pommel has a double Waffenamt mark "WaA519"

Lock button is functional. The scabbard has matching marks to the bayonet "8108" over "b" on one side and on the backside is "44asw". The scabbard is solid with a few small dings, it is missing the throat screw, and the ball finial is Waffenamt marked "WaA519". The leather frog shows wear and the stitching is tight. Length of the blade measures 9 7/8" (1" wide x 3/16" thick spine), length of the bayonet is 15 1/8", overall in the scabbard it is 16", and the frog alone is 9 1/4".
